Today, the new Zune HD was demonstrated  live. An editor from gizmodo recently spent time with the Zune HD and here is what he said about it:

“The device is tighter and more physically beautiful than the iPod touch and it’s got a better UI,” he said. “The main menu’s scrolling [is] so natural through the swipe gestures.” ”I would take this in a heartbeat, provided they get around to making a Mac client,” Brian Lam says.

Today, hulu.com released there own hulu desktop application for both Windows and Mac. There were other application for hulu on the desktop, but they were not official ones from hulu. Hulu made a great decision on making there own application for the desktop. 

The application includes features like:

-the ability to use a remote or your keyboard

- browse by studio, alphabetical order, network, or channel

- create a profile and then subscribe to shows and view your past history

- choose the video quality and choose to add caption or not

The most recent apple rumor floating around on the web is, that the next generation of the iPod Nano will get a camera. According to ilounge.com, the iPod Nano will get a camera and a different screen in the next revision of it. The screen size will change from a 1:33:1 to a 1:5:1 screen ratio. Also in addition, the Click wheel on the iPod will shrink down smaller.

Today, Microsoft announced that Zune HD will be released this fall. It will have a 3.3 inch touchscreen display, similar to the iPod Touch. So far, the Zune HD will feature a built in radio receiver and of course HD output. The iPod Touch does not support HD video yet. So, could the Zune HD be an iPod Touch killer? I don’t think so.
